The R16M-D is a portable tympanometer that combines both screening and advanced diagnostic capabilities. It offers precise and comprehensive assessments of middle ear function.

The tympanometer performs tests at frequencies of 226 Hz and 1 kHz, making it suitable for both adults and children.
- Reflex testing:
- Ipsilateral: 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 Hz (50–100 dB HL)
- Contralateral: 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 Hz (50–110 dB HL)
- Extended diagnostic features include:
- Quick Test for reflexes
- Reflex Decay testing
- Eustachian Tube Function (ETF) test
- Multi-component tympanometry, allowing measurement of:
- Y (admittance)
- B (susceptance)
- G (conductance)
- Pressure range: +100/-200 or +200/-400 daPa, with accuracy of ±10 daPa or ±10%.
